The Hotel Alfonso XIII, was the site chosen by Lamborghini to present to the international press for its unique global launch in 2010: the new model of car, Gallardo Superleggera, with 570 horses and a acceleration from 0 to 100, just 3.5 seconds.
The hotel reserved almost exclusively for the event, was privileged to enjoy the stage visually with Lamborghini models brought for the occasion. Welcomed over 300 guests from all over the world, including executives from Audi (which owns the luxury brand since 1998), owners of major media and about 140 international journalists from the engine.
Cars were tested by the guests at the Circuit de Monteblanco, Huelva. They also enjoyed the city of Seville, its spring aroma of orange blossoms, the Barrio de Santa Cruz, the Cathedral, the Torre del Oro and the Royal Palace, and of course, the fervor of Semana Santa Sevillana.
Also during the event was organized a fashion show in the pool, after which they enjoyed a barbecue in the gardens of the hotel, with local products.
The car show was so striking that one of the days where there were several cars parked at the entrance of the hotel, some Russian customers who went to Alfonso XIII to see the football match CSK Moscow - FC Sevilla, asked if they could purchase vehicles straight away.
It is not the first time the Alfonso XIII is invaded by the roar of cars. In 2008 an expedition of a dozen Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Masseratis, etc. conducted by individuals and from Holland, marched on Spanish roads, passing by the Marquis de Riscal, Luxury Collection also, to land at the legendary hotel in Seville as the end of issue. On that occasion, not only highlighted the cars, but also their drivers, dressed in themed costumes to match their vehicles.
Also known brands such as Lexus, Bentley or Mercedes also used this unique environment to showcase new models.
