What to do in Seville

Sevilla Royal Golf Club
The Real Club de Golf de Sevilla was designed by Jose Maria Olazábal and is both balanced and demanding, able to put the skill of both amateurs and professional players to the test. The 6,529-metre, par 72 course, opened in 1992, occupies an area of 61 hectares and is distinctive in its wide fairways, seeded with Bermuda 419 grass and extensive greens covered in Penncross. A total of 90 bunkers and 9 lakes add excitement to the course and demand maximum skill and concentration from players. 18 holes.

Pineda Royal Golf Club
Visitors can only play if they are accompanied by a member, is located 3 kilometres from the capital. Opened in 1939, the topography of the course is mainly flat, with a slight slope down to the Guadiara riverbed. The fairways are wide and are separated by abundant vegetation, where pine and palm trees predominate. Greens are small, flat and difficult. One of the most difficult holes is the first; it is a par 4 hole that forms a dogleg.

Zaudin Golf Club
Located just a 10 minute drive of the centre of Seville, in the zone of the Aljarafe, this golf course, federated AM95, is the only golf course in Spain designed by Gary Player -- one of the best golf players of all time. The 18 hole course, par 71, flows entirely amongst orange and olive trees and is bordered by "albero" paths (a type of sand typical from Seville area). Nature and design are skilfully integrated, with ample fairways and rolling greens surrounded by ancient olive trees. The surrounding country, just outside a city so full of art and history, is also treasure worthy of enjoyment. The views from the terrace are impressive, comprised by the aesthetic curves of holes 17 and 18, between two Great Lakes, and a view to the bottom of Seville city.

In addition to the Golf Course, Club Zaudín Golf offers 6 Paddle courts - artificial turf, 1 glass (all with artificial lighting), 3 Tennis courts (one clay, 2 "Tennis Quick"), Multi-sport field (football, basketball, handball, etc.) with artificial lights; children's supervised play area, gym, shops, 2 summer swimming pools and one indoor, heated, swimming pool and saunas; lounge with card tables and board games, special events hall that can accommodate up to 600 dinner guests, equestrian centre - 2.000 sq. meters of track, one of them covered. Horse training: classic, western style, and jumping. Stables and stalls for rent.

Isla Mágica thematic amusement park
At Isla Mágica Park, a good time on the banks of the Guadalquivir river is guaranteed. Shows, games and rides transport the visitor to other places such as 16th century Seville, replete with knights, rogues and merchants, to the Amazon Forest or pirates' lairs. In each place, adventure is provided by traditional or water roller-coasters, free-fall towers, audio-visual shows or visits to fortresses, galleons and caravels. The youngest visitors can enjoy a land specially designed just for them, where they will find slides, merry-go-rounds and Ferris-wheels, as well as many other surprises. The area's stores and restaurants will provide enjoyment for the whole family. All this can be found at la Isla de la Cartuja, right in the heart of urban Seville.

Doñana National park
The biodiversity held within this National Park is a consequence of the meeting of different ecosystems. This territory was declared a Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 1980. The Park is distinctively flat, allowing for clear observation of the topographical transition from the rolling game preserves to the salt marsh, which is the most remarkable feature in the Park's landscape, being the refuge of many migratory birds. The vegetation is also determined by the different ecosystems (dunes, sandy ground, fresh waters and lagoons...). With respect to fauna, Doñana is home to a great number of different species, of which the birds are the most outstanding, not to mention the Iberian lynx (Lynx pardina), which has become an emblem of the Park and is a carnivore endemic to the Iberian Peninsula.

Sierra Norte Natural park
This Natural Park is located in the north of the province of Seville. Its relief is gentle and meadows abound here. The Sierra Norte is exceptional for the presence of predators as well as species of special interest, both in terms of vertebrate and invertebrate fauna. Among other species, it harbours the lynx, the black vulture, the Imperial Eagle and the black stork. The protected natural area is also remarkable in terms of cork extraction, for the cattle-raising use that its Holm oak woods are put to as well as for its agricultural activity.
